She is not getting time spectra using RTC option. The AUX input was not used. Is it not possible to get time spectra with RTC option without using AUX input? She opted for software start but no spectra came.
We are trying to communicate with a NHQ High Voltage unit via its RS232 port. We send (for instance) "U1 <CR><LF>" to determine the voltage on channel A. However, we are sent back (in ASCII) "U1<LF>????<CR><LF>". Many times we get a timeout error.

Please advise how can we check PAS-2. My customer gets no counts. He checked PAS-2 signal on oscilloscope but is not seeing any pulses. There is a possibility that either source is dead or Detector problem or PAS-2 malfunction.
